Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD115-42 RNA is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD115-42 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SNORD115-42 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD115-42 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LUAD and BRCA are the cancer types where SNORD115-42 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
