Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD115-22 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SNORD115-22’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where SNORD115-22 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SNORD115-22 is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD are the cancer types where SNORD115-22 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
