Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD114-12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD114-12 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher SNORD114-12 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD114-12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LAML show a favorable association.

KICH, ACC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SNORD114-12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
