Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORA36B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SNORA36B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where SNORA36B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SNORA36B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, LUAD, and KIRC are the cancer types where SNORA36B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
