Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMYD2 mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 25 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMYD2-associated genes across cancer lineages are p62 Lck ligand, STAT3_pY705, and Cyclin-B1. Each is linked with SMYD2 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMYD2-to-partner and partner-to-SMYD2 results are reported.
