Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMU1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SMU1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher SMU1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMU1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, ACC, and UCEC are the cancer types where SMU1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
