Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMOC2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SMOC2 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lymphoid neoplasm diffuse large b-cell lymphoma (DLBC), where higher SMOC2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMOC2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD show a favorable association.
DLBC, LAML, and SCLC are the cancer types where SMOC2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
