Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMIM7 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SMIM7 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in acute myeloid leukemia (LAML), where higher SMIM7 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMIM7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LAML, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SMIM7 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
