Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMIM29 RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 12,323 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMIM29-associated proteins across cancer lineages are LEMD2, HIP1, and MAP1A. Each is linked with SMIM29 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMIM29-to-partner and partner-to-SMIM29 results are reported.
