Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMIM17 RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 14,996 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMIM17-associated proteins across cancer lineages are MEST, NIBAN2_S681, and ZC2HC1A_S223. Each is linked with SMIM17 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMIM17-to-partner and partner-to-SMIM17 results are reported.
