Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMIM13 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SMIM13 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SMIM13 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMIM13 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
UCEC are the cancer types where SMIM13 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
