Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMIM12 RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 9,333 significant associations in total. CCRCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMIM12-associated proteins across cancer lineages are KHDRBS1, ZCCHC17, and ZMYM4. Each is linked with SMIM12 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMIM12-to-partner and partner-to-SMIM12 results are reported.
