Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMG1P1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SMG1P1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT), where higher SMG1P1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMG1P1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
TGCT and SKCM are the cancer types where SMG1P1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
