Across TCGA cell cohorts, SMC3 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 4,410 significant associations in total. SOFT_TISSUE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMC3-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Spindle elongation, Regulation of chromosome condensation, and Nuclear chromosome segregation. Each is linked with SMC3 in more than 18 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMC3-to-partner and partner-to-SMC3 results are reported.
