Across TCGA cell cohorts, SMAD9 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 5,116 significant associations in total. SOFT_TISSUE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMAD9-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Regulation of nucleotide-excision repair, Microtubule-based transport, and Establishment of mitotic spindle localization. Each is linked with SMAD9 in more than 12 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMAD9-to-partner and partner-to-SMAD9 results are reported.
