Across TCGA cell cohorts, SMAD3 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 5,535 significant associations in total. BONE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMAD3-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Regulation of cell-matrix adhesion, Caveola assembly, and Regulation of cell-substrate junction organization. Each is linked with SMAD3 in more than 15 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMAD3-to-partner and partner-to-SMAD3 results are reported.
