Across TCGA cell cohorts, SMAD3 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,881 significant associations in total. OVARY shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMAD3-associated genes across cancer lineages are PRMT9, TTC19, and SLC35B4. Each is linked with SMAD3 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMAD3-to-partner and partner-to-SMAD3 results are reported.
