Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLN RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLN data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher SLN RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and CHOL show a favorable association.
KIRC, THCA, and CESC are the cancer types where SLN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
