Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLFN12 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLFN12 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SLFN12 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLFN12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.

SKCM, UCEC, and ESCA are the cancer types where SLFN12 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
