Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLF1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLF1 data layer compared with 12 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SLF1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLF1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRP, KIRC, and KICH are the cancer types where SLF1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
