Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLCO1B3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLCO1B3 data layer compared with 12 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SLCO1B3 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLCO1B3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as THCA and ESCA show a favorable association.
BLCA, THCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where SLCO1B3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
