Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC9A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC9A1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC9A1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC9A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, ACC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SLC9A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
