Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC7A2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC7A2 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher SLC7A2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC7A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UVM show a favorable association.

STAD, HNSC, and ACC are the cancer types where SLC7A2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
