Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC7A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC7A1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SLC7A1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC7A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, PRAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SLC7A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
