Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC6A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC6A3 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher SLC6A3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC6A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCEC show a favorable association.

ESCA, BRCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where SLC6A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
