Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC6A17 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC6A17 data layer compared with 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher SLC6A17 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC6A17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KICH and ACC show a favorable association.
MESO, BLCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where SLC6A17 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
