Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC66A3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC66A3 data layer compared with 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SLC66A3 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC66A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and KIRC show a favorable association.
SKCM, KIRC, and UVM are the cancer types where SLC66A3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
