Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC4A9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC4A9 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher SLC4A9 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC4A9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KICH and MESO show a favorable association.

LIHC, KICH, and UVM are the cancer types where SLC4A9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
