Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC4A2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC4A2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher SLC4A2 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC4A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and HNSC show a favorable association.
PDAC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SLC4A2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
