Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC45A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC45A3 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SLC45A3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC45A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and LUSC show a favorable association.
SKCM, BLCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where SLC45A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
