Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC44A5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC44A5 data layer compared with 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SLC44A5 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC44A5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and OV show a favorable association.

KIRP, UCS, and LIHC are the cancer types where SLC44A5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
