Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC44A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC44A3 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher SLC44A3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC44A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SLC44A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
