Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC41A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC41A3 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC41A3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC41A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SLC41A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
