Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC39A9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC39A9 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher SLC39A9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC39A9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD and SKCM are the cancer types where SLC39A9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
