Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC39A9 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC39A9 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher SLC39A9 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC39A9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and HNSC show a favorable association.
PDAC, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SLC39A9 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
