Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC39A2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC39A2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher SLC39A2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC39A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

THCA are the cancer types where SLC39A2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
