Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC39A11 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC39A11 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher SLC39A11 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC39A11 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and LUAD show a favorable association.
CCRCC, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where SLC39A11 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
