Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC38A9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC38A9 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC38A9 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC38A9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SLC38A9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
