Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC38A7 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC38A7 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SLC38A7 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC38A7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, CESC, and SKCM are the cancer types where SLC38A7 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
