Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC38A4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC38A4 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SLC38A4 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC38A4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, OV, and BLCA are the cancer types where SLC38A4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
