Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC38A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC38A3 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher SLC38A3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC38A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SLC38A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
