Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC36A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC36A3 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SLC36A3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC36A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, LIHC, and MESO are the cancer types where SLC36A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
