Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC35F5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC35F5 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher SLC35F5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC35F5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, KIRP, and BRCA are the cancer types where SLC35F5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
