Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC35D1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC35D1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SLC35D1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC35D1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
GBM and HNSC are the cancer types where SLC35D1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
