Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC34A3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC34A3 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC34A3 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC34A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ESCA show a favorable association.

HNSC, ACC, and COAD are the cancer types where SLC34A3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
