Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC32A1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC32A1 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SLC32A1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC32A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and SCLC show a favorable association.
SKCM, SCLC, and PAAD are the cancer types where SLC32A1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
