Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC31A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC31A1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher SLC31A1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC31A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BRCA, LUSC, and ESCA are the cancer types where SLC31A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
