Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC30A9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC30A9 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC30A9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC30A9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC show a favorable association.
HNSC, SKCM, and LUSC are the cancer types where SLC30A9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
