Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC30A7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC30A7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where SLC30A7 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC30A7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, HNSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where SLC30A7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
