Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC29A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC29A3 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SLC29A3 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC29A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
SKCM and LUSC are the cancer types where SLC29A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
